Raymundo Gleyzer was a controversial figure whose outspoken politics cost him his life during Argentina`s military dictatorship. This is his best known, and most provocative, cinematic contribution to the dialogue of revolutionary politics. By contrasting the failures of Mexico`s revolutionary movements from the early 1900s alongside Argentina`s during the late 1960s, Gleyzer creates a portrait of ideals confronting reality and ending, too often, in tragedy.
