Chave`s Memories

THIS DELIGHTFULLY illustrated bilingual picture book for children depicts the beauty of life on he U.S.-Mexico border as a gateway to two cultures. This bridge opens children`s eyes to two life styles, two sets of traditions and customs. For children, there are wondrous delights to be discovered in either of their two worlds. Leaving behind U.S. city life to visit her grandparents in rural Mexico was always an adventure for Chave. Her grandparents` ranch held a world of wondrous surprises for her and her cousins. Tending to barnyard animals, frolicking in nature, exploring the mystical world of traditional storytellers -- all of this and more was pure magic for Chave, her little brother and all the other children in her family.
